Hi there, this is a in depth review on The Truth About Abs. Can this program really rid you of unsightly belly fat and help you develop a ripped six pack or a sexy flat stomach?

Before I get started let me just tell you that this will be a down-to-earth review with none of the hype you see so much on the internet these days. I like to give the facts, as I see them, and let people make up their own minds. Let’s be honest, there is a lot of junk out there. When it comes down to it, if a product is good then it’s good and if it is bad then it’s bad. No amount of glossy graphics and hyped up marketing can change that.

In this review I’m going to tell it as it is, the good, the bad and the ugly!

So lets get started…..

What is The Truth About Abs?

It’s a program developed by Mike Geary to solve the biggest problem faced by 99% of people every day, namely losing stubborn belly fat and getting a lean toned stomach (desired by most women) or a ribbed six pack (sought after by most men).

On first inspection the website comes across as a bit glossy and glitzy, which would normally put me on my guard. However, I was pleasantly surprised by what I found when I had a look around.

Mike Geary certainly seems to be the real deal. He is a certified nutrition specialist and a certified personal trainer. He has created The Truth About Abs program and Busy Man Fitness.com. He is also the author of the international best selling ebook The Truth About Six Pack Abs and co-author of the newest best-selling nutrition programme The Fat Burning Kitchen.

Now, I’m not one of those people who snap things up on a whim. I like to research a product before buying so I know what I’m getting and what to expect from it. I did a lot of research on the internet looking for information on this product and the overall impression I got was that it would help get rid of excess stomach fat.

What do you get for your money?

You are given a downloadable ebook, not a physical product, which is basically a training manual explaining how to get rid of stomach fat and improve your abs. There are no bells or whistles and no fancy gadgets. Although you do get a number of bonus materials including fat loss secrets, motivational audios to keep you on track and a workout programme. These bonuses are worth $150, not bad considering the product only costs $39.95.

The book is split into 2 main parts. The first part covers all aspects of nutrition and eating a healthy diet while the second part is focussed on exercise, what type you should do, when and why.

One of things I really liked about the book was the photographs showing you exactly how to do each exercise so that you get it right.

Pro’s and Con’s:

When you first open up the book you may  find yourself being put off by the sheer size of it, well over 100 pages long (149 to be precise I think). Make sure you persevere and read through all of it though.

The book covers 2 big topics and I found it be informative and to the point. It lays out the facts and details of precisely what you should do. Quite often I find ebook products can get a bit waffly in an attempt to fill up the pages and make it look more impressive. I didn’t find this here; The Truth About Abs is very clear, concise and easy to read.

When I first started reading the book I found the nutritional section a bit daunting as well, I’m talking about counting calories here. Who has the time to sit down and work out how many calories each meal has? I mean we all know that to lose weight you have to use up more calories than you eat, but working out the calorie content of what you are about to eat seems like such a chore.

However, much to my relief, I found the book provided a wide variety of simple meal plans with calorie content and tips on portion control which makes this plan easier to follow.

I was also a bit surprised to find out that weight training was important for weight loss. This is not something I have considered before, being female, rippling muscles have never been top of my agenda. However, Mike explains why these are so important and are actually more effective at burning fat that cardio exercises!

I was shocked! I was under the impression that carido was king, but apparently not. A combination seems to be the best way to lose fat with emphasis placed on the bigger muscle groups, very enlightening!

I guess the idea is that you incorporate all or some of the ideas from both sections of the book into your daily life. The aim here is more one of longevity rather a quick fix.

So, if you are looking for a quick fix (lose 20lbs in 10 days) then this probably isn’t for you.

This plan will take some effort on your part to incorporate some, if not all, of the lifestyle changes suggested.

Overall my experience has been a positive one (after I got over the shock of having to lift weights!). I shed 11lbs over a 2 month period and lost almost 2 inches from my waist and dropped down a whole dress size. Fantastic!

I have had 2 children and have found it almost impossible to lose that last lingering stone and get any kind of definition back to my stomach  (my youngest is now 4, so you can see how long I have been trying).

I don’t have a ripped six pack, but then again that wasn’t my aim. I do however have a much flatter stomach and can wear skinny jeans without the tell-tale overflow of flab that was everywhere before.

You will learn really cool things like:

  • •Surprising foods that actually burn belly fat
•How to finally ditch the junk food
•Weird exercises that burn off belly fat faster than any cardio
•Secret tips and tricks to keep you motivated

This one book gives you all the information you need to get that lean and toned stomach (desired by most women) and ripped six pack (sought after by most men).

However, as I said before, this won’t happen overnight. A certain degree of commitment is required. Excess belly fat doesn’t just appear overnight so it’s unlikely to disappear in a few days.

Why not check out The Truth About Abs  for yourself!

My final thoughts…..

The Truth About Abs has really worked for me. I’ve lost weight and have an almost flat stomach in just 2 months.

I know by sticking with this plan those excess pounds won’t creep back on. I’m not so strict now and do still enjoy chocolate (that’s one food type I’ll never give up!) but moderating what I eat and exercising 3 times a week, most weeks, seems to be doing the trick for me.
