Hi there! My name is Dr Elizabeth Hughes and I am the administrator and author of The Naked Dr.

I have spent the last 22 years studying human biology, have a PhD in scientific research, and have personally researched diet, fitness and wellbeing for the last 12 years.

I have two young children, 4 and 7, and now work from home. Through extensive research I have discovered how to maintain a healthy weight, reduce my overall body fat and more importantly enjoy what I eat! I dislike the term ‘going on a diet’ because it makes me think of going hungry and not fully enjoying food. Also once you ‘come off the diet’ the weight is likely to creep back on.

I enjoy exercise and in the last year started running. I completed a 10K run for cancer research this year and am now training for my first half marathon in the coming year.

I really hope this The Naked Dr will help people to understand more the conflicting information we are constantly bombarded with regarding health and fitness and will help people to make good informed decisions about their own lifestyle.
